‘Abd al-Husayn Mu‘azzaz al-Mulk (Taymurtash) writes to Surur al-Saltanah: he is happy that Surur is recovering, mentions the name of the little boy [who has recently died] as Mustafa Qulikhan. He talks about receiving a letter from ‘Iffat al-Muluk [his sister] in Khurasan, in which she has written about Khanum Buzurg's illness that Mu‘azzaz al-Mulk thinks is because of Mustafa's death. He also mentions receiving Salar's letter, then continues to talk about his longing for Surur al-Saltanah.

‘Abd al-Husayn Mu‘azzaz al-Mulk (Taymurtash) writes to Surur al-Saltanah about a misunderstanding between them. He expresses his love for Surur and refers to a photograph sent by Surur that he has sent her back without looking at it.
